Blackberry wine cellar „Tatalović” is a family winery located in the village Kupinik. Our story begins in 2004 when we planted for the first time 400 blackberry seedlings. On our farm everything is done manually, maintenance and care of the plantation including the harvest itself. Each blackberry is harvested individually in order to adequately select the blackberries from which the wine will be made.
Dušan’s blackberry wine was created as a result of listening to his grandmother’s story about the so-called “Iron Wine” which her mother made for her when she was young to solve her problem of anemia, since is widely known that blackberry wine is beneficial for health due to its high iron content. His grandmother Kata found the old recipe and we made our first blackberry wine in 2006. Since those 140 liters were consummated in a very short time, we realized we were on the right track. We have continued to expand the plantation and currently it’s spanning on 1, 5 hectares. We have as well increased the capacity of the winery which is located on the plantation so that blackberries can be processed faster and retain all the properties that are beneficial for your health.
Blackberries are processed by using modern technology to preserve the authentic taste, aroma and characteristics that this plant offers. In this way, the most important blackberry properties are transformed into wine to create the high quality product that our customers are used to and expect from us.
